I’ve been reading good reviews about this beach on blogs and link on internet so when we received an invitation to visit this place I was so excited. But the excitement became disappointment when I see lots of garbage on the beach area, which my eyes and lens can’t handle (so I didn’t take any picture to my dismay).

I was convinced that the beach has white sand but I was very very wrong. Power of photography nga naman, even my shots look amazing and is very inviting don’t you think? But maybe I was just expecting too much from Cavite kala ko kasi I can compare it with Caramoan and El Nido but again I was wrong.

Or maybe few years ago this place is really beautiful… when people still don’t know that it exists and only marines enjoy its tranquility. The beach lost its virginity to human, sad to say but true.

The beach is located at Gregorio Lim Marine Base Calumpang Ternate, Cavite. Entrance Fee is Php100 per person for daytrip and Php200 for an overnight.

Sari-sari store owned by the marines is available near beach entrance which sells snacks, softdrinks, basic toiletry needs and some marines stuff.

The place is packed when we visit it and I’m expecting it will be more crowded during holy week. The cottage area has the atmosphere of a town fiesta – people eating, cooking on the grill, drinking (at high noon) and loudly singing “pusong bato” on their rented videoke(Php1500 for 24hrs).

By the way guys, if you’re expecting girls in bikini you’ll be upset 😛 most of the people here swim with their usual clothes on and I even saw a girl wearing her leggings, no kidding!.

Taking pictures is only allowed in the beach area, I really want to sneak some camp pictures but I was afraid to be arrested har har har.

Going here:
There is no public transportation available so you will need private vehicle to reach the place. To get there, you need to take the CAVITEX Express way from Coastal Road, driving all the way to the towns of Rosario, Naic, Tanza Maragondon & finally Ternate. From the main town you will drive some 30 mins more through Mt. Palay-palay National Park, The marine base main gate is located along the road between Puerto Azul and Caylabne Bay resorts. The coast is about a 2-kilometer drive from the main gate.

Or if you’re really planning to commute from Roxas Boulevard in Baclaran take the Saulog Liner bus (Php85-90) or any minibus to Ternate Cavite (Php75-80). You can hire a jeepney upon arriving at the Terminal which will cost you Php1000 (two-way)

For mountain enthusiast like me Mt. Pico and Mt. Palpag is just nearby 🙂
