Batangas Beach Day Tour: Stilts Calatagan

It’s summer again, time to go to the beach! If you are planning to spend your family vacation near the city but hates crowded beach I would highly recommend Stilts Beach Resort in Calatagan Batangas.

The resort is a 4 hours drive from Manila via private car, pls. check the direction below:
– take SLEX and exit at Sta Rosa and drive towards Tagaytay.
– follow the directions to Nasugbu, Batangas and go straight all the way to the junction of Palico.
– you will pass by Lian, before entering the town of Calatagan town proper.
– turn right when you see the Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort signage.
– look for the guard house.

The resort doesn’t allowed walk-ins so make sure you made your reservation before going here.  This is the easiest part of my DIY Family Tour, I sent an email requesting for quotation and deposit my reservation fee. After that I print the confirmation and present it to the guard on duty at the resort.
This is a 24 hectares resort, yes it is huge! From the guard house , we drive around  5 minutes just to get to the parking area. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcome by their staff who offered welcome drinks and guide us towards our cottage. I would like to highlight that they are well trained, very accommodating and very polite.
From the receiving area you will be welcome with this beautiful arch entrance and inspiring quotes.
And to this clean and not crowded pool 🙂
The resort has three coastlines: Destiny, Serenity and Harmony Beach. Our open hut is located at Harmony, when we arrived the water is so shallow. If you have kids like us this area is good, the sea is so calm. (Baby Tam enjoying the sand on his feet.)
But if you love swimming and snorkeling you have to reserve around Serenity Beach. There are small fishes and sea grass on the beach but we found no corals maybe because this beach is so shallow.
The resort gets its name from these cottages standing on stilts. This place is picture perfect. If you are looking for a serene and clean beach not far from the city and budget friendly then you have to visit Stilt.
And because this resort is very spacious they offer transfer service if you want to move from one beach to another and you don’t feel like walking.  This should be a big check specially if you have seniors on your group. We chose to walk and explore the area, everything is well maintain and lovely.
The sand is pinkish and even if it’s already noon time, the cool breeze kept on blowing under the summer sun.
I personally love the garden feel in Serenity beach, the trees and flowers are so relaxing.
Stunning View from the garden going down to the beach area.Swimming or just relaxing on a swing? Why choose one when you can do both?
If you have extra cash and wanted to stay for a night they have tree cottages too. Super cool!
