My Airbnb Story: Editha’s Residencia

Tourist who is planning to visit La Union, normally book their accommodation around San Juan town. Possibly because of the famous surfing Urbiztondo Beach, this is ok if you love crowded, touristy and expensive area. If you’re not into surfing and prefer a peaceful beach where you can relax I recommend that you choose Bauang town instead.

Bauang is one of the not-so populated beaches in the country and next to San Juan in La Union. It is much more tranquil here, definitely not as much of a tourist trap. The beach here is ideal for those early morning runs, swimming and kayaking specially during summer season. The sand is not white but fine grayish and the water was average in clarity.

One good accommodation I can recommend is Editha’s Residencia, this airbnb is always sold out during summer. It is small, simple family-owned garden beach resort with two bungalow cottages for rent. The place is so cozy and has that homey atmosphere that you will surely enjoy.

Our Cottage

This family resort is very near the Manila-La Union highway, and just a 40mins drive to San Juan town.

Our Cottage have the following:
– Fan Room
– 1 Queen Bed, 3 Floor Mattresses, 1 Couch
– 1 Bathroom
– Kitchen and Dining Room
We also have a direct access to the beach, its just a couple of steps away from the Cabin.

Sorry for the untidy scenery, cottage has one bed and an extra sofa bed
Kitchen is complete with gas stove, ref, cooking and kitchen ware.

Rustic design of the cottages
I would also like to highlight how they use old and recycled material on their family resort. This bridge is made up of old plastic industrial cart.

The owner Ms. Richelle is very accommodating and good host, very easy to deal with.
